Live, Love, Learn in a Caring Catholic Community
We are a small, friendly Catholic school of around 80 children. We are proud to have such a small number of pupils and we are fully committed to providing our children with many learning opportunities. Members of our community care for and value each other, much like a family.
We believe this provides the ideal environment for children to learn and grow. We take both Catholic and non-Catholic children whose parents are sympathetic to our Catholic ethos. Go to School Aims for more details on our admissions procedure.
At St Johns we have small class sizes allowing us to ensure high standards of behaviour. We welcome both Catholic and Non-Catholic families, and have places available throughout the school. Our pupils enjoy high levels of support. We believe that our student to staff ratio is one of our greatest resources, and the children benefit from the small groups they are taught in. We have a very good pass rate for the 11+ examination to get into Churston Ferrers Grammar School.
This website contains information about our school, however the best way to find out about us is to come and visit us with your child and meet our staff and children. You are most welcome to telephone and make an appointment.
Come and visit us and see our high-achieving, happy school community in action.

St Johns is a member of Plymouth CAST, a Multi-Academy Trust set up in the Diocese of Plymouth to create a more secure environment. This is so that the 35 schools that are part of the Trust can serve the mission of the Catholic and Anglican Trust.
